Professional Biography
Chris has been in higher education in 2006 with proven track record of developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies in supporting the mission and vision of various colleges and programs.
Chris has been with the University of Kentucky since 2015, where he was first hired as the Director of MBA Recruitment at the Gatton College of Business and Economics, followed by the Director of Marketing and Communications at the College of Public Health in 2021.
In 2023, Chris joined the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment as the Associate Director of Communications. In his role, he is passionate about promoting and amplifying the value and impact of education, research, and extension through dynamic communications strategies including storytelling, media relations, social media, etc.
Chris' core competencies include success stories, social media strategy, communication, events, admissions, and recruitment as well as collaborating with diverse academic, philanthropic, and collegiate partners.
Chris is a proud alum of the University of Georgia, where he earned a master's degree in marketing research and bachelor's degree in marketing and speech communications. Chris is also a graduate of Leadership Kentucky, serves as a board member of Women Leading Kentucky and in active contributor in the University of Kentucky Staff Senate since 2018.
